Start the New Year off right by meditating on God\u2019s Word<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cI<\/span>sn\u2019t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?\u201d\u00a0 It has become one of my most favourite quotes but also one I remember every New Year\u2019s Eve.\u00a0 The New Year begins with great fanfare and excitement;\u00a0a New Year full of promise and expectation AND a New Year with no mistakes in it\u2026yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cT<\/span>o every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven\u201d \u2013 Ecclesiastes 3:1<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cF<\/span>orget the former things;\u00a0do not dwell on the past.\u00a0\u00a0See, I am doing a new thing!\u00a0\u00a0Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?\u00a0 I am making a way in the wilderness\u00a0and streams in the wasteland.\u201d\u00a0 Isaiah 43:18-19<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cS<\/span>o teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.\u201d\u00a0 Psalm 90:12<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cF<\/span>or I know the plans I have for you,\u201d declares the Lord, \u201cplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.\u201d\u00a0 Jeremiah 29:11<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI<\/span>n his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.\u201d\u00a0 Proverbs 16:9<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cB<\/span>rothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.\u201d\u00a0 Philippians 3:13-14<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cY<\/span>ou crown the year with your bounty,\u00a0and your carts overflow with abundance.\u201d\u00a0 Psalm 65:11<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI<\/span>n the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.\u201d\u00a0 Genesis 1:1<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cT<\/span>herefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!\u201d\u00a0 2 Corinthians 5:17<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cP<\/span>raise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.\u201d\u00a0 1 Peter 1:3<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cT<\/span>rust in the Lord with all your heart\u00a0and lean not on your own understanding;\u00a0in all your ways submit to him,\u00a0and he will make your paths straight.\u201d\u00a0 Proverbs 3:5-6<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026b<\/span>ut those who hope in the Lord\u00a0will renew their strength.\u00a0 They will soar on wings like eagles;\u00a0they will run and not grow weary,\u00a0they will walk and not be faint.\u201d\u00a0 Isaiah 40:31<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cB<\/span>ecause of the Lord\u2019s great love we are not consumed,\u00a0for his compassions never fail.\u00a0\u00a0They are new every morning;\u00a0great is your faithfulness.\u00a0\u00a0I say to myself, \u201cThe Lord is my portion;\u00a0therefore I will wait for him.\u201d\u00a0 Lamentations 3: 22-24<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cH<\/span>e has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>Ecclesiastes 3:11<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cO<\/span>ne of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, \u201cOf all the commandments, which is the most important?\u201d\u00a0 \u201cThe most important one,\u201d answered Jesus, \u201cis this: \u2018Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.\u00a0\u00a0Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.\u00a0 The second is this: \u2018Love your neighbor as yourself.\u00a0 There is no commandment greater than these.\u201d\u00a0 Mark 12:28:31<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA<\/span> blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves you.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0Deuteronomy 23:5<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI<\/span> will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.\u00a0\u00a0 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.\u00a0\u00a0 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.\u201d\u00a0 Ezekiel 36:26-28<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cS<\/span>ing to the Lord a new song;\u00a0sing to the Lord, all the earth.\u00a0\u00a0Sing to the Lord, praise his name;\u00a0proclaim his salvation day after day.\u00a0\u00a0Declare his glory among the nations,\u00a0his marvelous deeds among all peoples.\u201d\u00a0 Psalm 96: 1-3<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cE<\/span>very good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.\u00a0\u00a0He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.\u201d\u00a0 James 1:17-18<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cL<\/span>ook to the Lord and his strength;\u00a0seek his face always.\u00a0\u00a0Remember the wonders he has done,\u00a0his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,\u2026\u201d\u00a0 1 Chronicles 16:11-12<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA<\/span>nd when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.\u201d\u00a0 Mark 11:25-26<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cL<\/span>et the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.\u201d\u00a0 Colossians 3:15<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cT<\/span>he Lord your God is with you,\u00a0the Mighty Warrior who saves.\u00a0 He will take great delight in you;\u00a0in his love he will no longer rebuke you,\u00a0but will rejoice over you with singing.\u201d\u00a0 Zephaniah 3:17<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cM<\/span>ay he give you the desire of your heart\u00a0and make all your plans succeed.\u201d\u00a0 Psalm 20:4<\/span><\/p>\n
